Whether you have been sick or just not making it over to the gym lately there are some ways that can help you get back into your groove. We all have a fallout or as I like to call it a “break up” with our gym or workout routine at some point in our lives. Much like any relationship these things take time to get over and get back into the game. You don’t want to spend too much time away from your routine though, because this “break up” could cost you muscle loss and be harder once you actually go back to your workout routine. So how do you get out of that anti-work-out slump? Simple here are 10 ways you can get out of it and get back to getting in shape!
1. Remind Yourself What Motivated You to Get in Shape in the First Place
Much like getting back into the dating game after a bad break up remind yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Why did you start your fitness routine? Sometimes finding that original motivation is enough of a push to help you out of your slump.
Tip: Write down in a notebook or on post its why you started your fitness routine. This will help you visually see what your goals started with and give you a push in the right direction.
