Seven Reasons Your Hair Isn’t Growing As Fast As You Want

Do you want long, thick hair? You know, the kind of hair you see in every Pantene commercial on television? Well, sorry to disappoint you but you’ll never have hair like that. Not even the models in those commercials actually have hair like that. Don’t be sad, though. There are ways you can up your hair game and achieve a long and voluminous mane that can look almost as good as “commercial hair.” You’re excited now, aren’t you? Good!

Here are seven reasons why your hair might not be growing and how you can fix that:

You’re Using Too Much Heat

Hopefully, you know how harmful heat can be to your hair. But you probably don’t know to what extent. Using styling tools (straightener, blow dryer, curling iron, etc.) on your hair every single day will cause your hair to become brittle and dry. Fact! The dryer your hair becomes the more likely it is your hair will break off. Which will make it hard, if not impossible, for your hair to grow and remain healthy.

Besides using some sort of heat protectant, you should also try to avoid constantly blow drying and straightening your hair. There’s nothing wrong with air drying and letting your curls run the show; at least a couple times a week.
